The work of Paris-based Matali Crasset always makes us smile. Her ability to take something basic and make it appear fun and fresh is unparalleled(无比的). More remarkable(卓越的) is her ability to do this while avoiding the gummy-colored slide that so easily leads to overly cute(可爱的), fake(假货) and just plain childish(幼稚的). Including just enough color to pop, adding just enough quirky(古怪的) shapes to make a point, and leaving everything else out, makes this little university grocery shop a delight. Mini M grocery is a neighborhood grocery store at the Toulouse University where the student services organization is working to improving the options and accessibility(易接近) of various food service alternatives(二中择一) from eat-in and take-out to grocery stores. This colorful(华美的) market is designed to stand out from the concrete(混凝土的) buildings that surround it. Its overall feel is positive(积极的) and fun; it is a market-stall-like casual(随便的) shop, clearly different from the typical(典型的), boring convenience stores and corner stores elsewhere(在别处) in the city. Crasset worked on this project with graphic(图表的) designers from Praline and branding specialists of Terres Nuages. - Tuija Seipel |
