Background

Shoot Boutique offers a unique(独特的) photo experience for weddings and other special events through its fusion(融合) of the photo booth and professional photo studio.

Brief

Very Own Studio became involved(包含) in the Shoot Boutique project from an early stage, working on everything from the company name, visual identity(身份), overall art direction, print design and management, booth design,interactive(交互式的) touch screens and website, right down to the vehicle(车辆) graphics(图形). When beginning the design process, careful thought went into how to make the brand stand out; what could we do that was different from the traditional wedding graphic design style of script fonts and flourishes(兴旺)?

Solution

We came up with a simple icon depicting(描述) anabstract(抽象的) flower made up of severalinterlocking(连锁的) circles. The circle, a traditional wedding symbol(象征), represents the promise ofnever-ending(不停的) love, as in the wedding ring. The type that accompanies(陪伴) the icon is clean and easily read. The icon has also beendissected(切开的) into its constituent(构成的) parts and these are restructured(调整) to form otherfleurons(花形图案的装饰) (flower shapedglyphs(字形)) that will be used across the marketing collateral(抵押品) at differentscales(天平), almost like confetti(五彩纸屑).

Results

Soon after the launch(发射) of Shoot Boutique with its eye-catching(引人注目的) visual identity, the company was featured(起重要作用) on a range of different wedding blogs. This led to its services being booked for six months in advance. Shoot Boutique has since grown anddiversified(多样化的), continuing at weddings, but also providing its photo experience at festivals across the UK, for companies such as Dr Martens and CrossCountry Rail.
