In these photographs, by Aaron Groen, it's very easy to get lost in each of his starry wonderlands. A Series of Dark Places is a collection of work in which the South Dakota-based artist juxtaposes the beauty of the universe against the many familiar natural and man-made forms here on Earth. Using long exposures, he captures magical landscapes filled with dreamy atmospheres, stunning color palettes, and galaxies far, far away.

As the stars shine brightly overhead and illuminate parts of our planet, Groen transports us to a place where lines are blurred between mystery and reality. He also fully embraces the wonders of nature with clever titles like Redneck Planitarium, Chaos,Milky Way & Decay, and Crossroads to Creation. Through his work, the artist makes it possible for us to take those magical and relaxing experiences of sitting and gazing at the stars with us anywhere we go.
